rummuser and Cathy,
I've watched some BBC series based in Scotland (Lord of the Manor) and Ireland (Balleykissangel). Some of the dialog was impossible to understand, but enough was comprehensible that I could follow the plots. ;)

Ah, Cathy, if you want some real difficulty, try visiting hard core Scotland. We in India do not have any difficulty with Australians, thanks to the great affinity due to cricket and its commentators. I went to a school for a while run by Australian missionaries and picked up some hilarious things from them too!

Cathy,
We went to NZ years ago and don't remember having trouble with understanding. Now Australia was sometimes a problem. We still remember ordering food at a fast food place and the woman asked if we wanted tike a-why. Huh? My husband looked confused and she started speaking more loudly (as we all know, that helps when someone doesn't understand ;) ). Finally she asked, "For tike a-why or for here?" Oh! No, we didn't want take away, we wanted to eat it there. ;)

Glad your experience with Dragon is improving.

I too have difficulty with speaking English! Apparently my colonial English, is not understandable by those in the Northern Hemisphere!

Jean I have dictated most of it into the little box with the Dragon. Still having to correct things but not too much :-)

Those who make things happen,
Those who watch things happen, and
Those who say, “What happened?”

At certain times in my life I have used only single ideal, but there have been times when all 3 have been tumbling around together.

I really don't know of the three I'm currently in...

Sorry I haven't been around as much lately; personal life with my friends problems have gone 'off the boil' which has given me time for ME and my Uni assigments etc. :-)
