AmazonSmile

Amazon has a new program called AmazonSmile. If you use it Amazon will give 0.5% of your purchase to your favorite charity. We do a lot of our shopping using Amazon, so it’s a no-brainer for us — it’s an easy way to funnel a bit more money to our local shelter rescue program. Yay, Amazon!

Do you use Amazon much? If so, and if you were to use AmazonSmile, what charity would you choose?

Amazon always has exactly what we want & we don’t have to go searching at stores.
Tom gives so much money away that I don’t want to think about anymore charities.

I know it’s free to us, but the word Charity turns me off. I want to leave it all to the kids. Tom’s mother gave so much to her college, because they said they’d have to fold if they didn’t get more money. HA! Hope I don’t go to Hell for this . 🙂

We love Amazon too because we hate shopping in stores. It’s a real blessing.

I tend to use Amazon as the store front and then buy from the Book Depository – where the shipping is included in the price (they call it free shipping, which isn’t sort of strictly honest).

    I don’t know which charity I’d choose.

Our Amazon marketplace sometimes calls it free shipping, sometimes the shipping is added. Amazon just lists them according to the total price, which makes it easy enough to compare prices. It’s a nice feature.

I usually try to use a NZ local online book seller…

This time my textbook for forthcoming study was cheaper at Book Depository than at Amazon and I of course got the free shipping. It is due any day soon…

I don’t know whether a “donation” to something is particularly interesting although I do belong to a few online entities in NZ which do $ giveaways to such places…
