Learning From Experience

The cat has a soft heart, but he’s not stupid. At the end he’s learned it’s best to avoid trouble if you can.

    So nice that the yellow fish got his freedom. Not good to be confined to a glass bowl. Cat, take the new pretty fish & get him to the lake too. No advice on how to avoid the bad cats though. Not to worry, you’re only a cartoon.

    Although the ending can easily be interpreted as you noted, it struck me somewhat differently. I assumed he was laying there beside the empty bowl actually missing his friend. And when he sees the new fish he closes the blinds in an effort to hopefully secure a much longer relationship with this fish. He’s being a bit ‘selfish’ (no pun intended)! 🙂
