Billboards

Illinois is in deep financial trouble, and needless to say the inhabitants aren’t happy about it. In a recent poll half of the people asked said they would move to another state if they could. So Kaitlin and Torben laughed when they saw a billboard with the following sentiment.

illinois-indiana
(I don’t know what the billboard actually looked like, this is just my version.)

One of my favorite billboards from the web is this one in London for The Economist. It has a motion detector which turns on the light bulb whenever someone walks underneath it.

Agency: Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, UK

And the other day the TV local news showed a sign in front of a nursery. It said

It’s spring! We’re so excited we wet our plants!

Do you have any favorite billboards?

      Ramana's-sign

Andy recently about an instruction manual where they used the wrong definition of “screw”. That’s the trouble with dictionaries. 😉
