To Stake or Not To Stake

In the comment section yesterday I told Alan that we put stakes in front of the culvert entrances.

We think the problem this time is the stakes caught enough debris to build dams, closing off the culverts.

So why use the stakes? Because without them the culverts can get plugged with big rocks, which take a major effort to clean out. This picture was taken May 13, 2012.

This is the rock that was plugging the three-foot diameter culvert shown above.

Life is seldom simple.

“…that is the question.” It’s a coin toss. Then whatever happens blame it on the coin. πŸ˜€

It’s a lot easier to clear the debris from the entrance of the culvert than it is to remove dirt and rocks from inside. Trust us. πŸ™‚

The coin toss was adding to Rummuser’s comment, “A classic Hobson’s choice really! ” πŸ˜€

    i’ve got the solution!!!
    andy can take flying lessons.
then he can buy a little helicopter.
then he can make a small landing field.
then he can just fly to the cabin.
    LOLOL!!!
don’t laugh. for all the money it’s costing you for constantly ‘fixing’ the road…
it might just be an option! πŸ˜€

everyone already has good ideas – now write them out on paper and draw the best one out of the hat, If it turnes out to be the flying machine – there is a new project for Andy to build πŸ™‚
