Harvest Time

Andy harvested our cherries Tuesday, and we ate them that night.

Our cherry harvest

Our cherry harvest

Hey, it’s better than nothing. And hopefully it’s a good omen for the future.

Grand. So you have become cherry pickers?

  2. Vicki says:

Oh cherries! So delicious. Perfect little juicy jewels.
First of the season – hope you made a wish 🙂

    • Jean says:

Not just the first of the season — those two were the season! Andy planted the tree last year and we were pleased that it produced anything at all.

  3. We had a cherry tree in our yard years ago, and it was from that tree that I learned to love fresh cherries–What a treat they are, and I’ve no doubt you’ll enjoy each and every one!! 🙂

    • Jean says:

Yes, we each had one and enjoyed them very much. Before the 2011 fire we had three trees that gave us a lot of cherries each year. We miss them.

We now have only two cherry trees. Andy planted two last year but one of them died, so he planted a new one this year to replace it. Our “harvest” of two cherries came from the one that survived last year, of course.
