Good and Not So Good News

The forecast Tuesday said there was a good chance of flash flooding yesterday.

We were lucky — we only had 0.13 inches of rain, so the roads and culverts weren’t affected. Needless to say, we were pleased.

The not-so-good news is one of Andy’s pumps failed, so he had to order a new one. He had only used it for about 100 hours, so he’ll give the new one a good workout before the 30-day guarantee is over.

We’re not complaining. We would much rather have a failed pump than washed-out roads.

True, pumps are easier to either replace or repair than dealing with washed out roads.
    Stay safe 🙂

Washed out roads are a big, expensive nuisance, but fortunately we live down here in town. My eyes aren’t good enough to drive on dirt roads even when they’re in reasonably good shape.

Andy’s projects are fun to watch and share. Thanks for the good wishes. 🙂

I was away at a farm house for the weekend and saw the mighty Krishna river in spate at close quarters. We went up the Western Ghats and throughout the journey we had rains. In some parts of our country the rains have been more than normal causing problems and in some we have deficits again causing problems. Very funny monsoon we are having just now.

I’ve read about the floods in northern India. Apparently the weather is like the rest of the world — getting crazier and crazier.
