Clean!

clean-sites-600

When I thought we would be without phone service and internet all weekend, I thought at least the situation had a silver lining. I wouldn’t have to deal with the fact that my security service — sucuri.net — said I not only had to update a number of things, but that I had malware in some files at both cheerfulmonk.com and stresstopower.cheerfulmonk.com. Apparently both sites were safe for visitors, but presumably they could stop working if I didn’t do something.

Needless to say, my excuse evaporated when my phone line started working again. So I did the required updates and found the information Sucuri needed to remove the malware. (Malware removal is included in the subscription price.)

Anyway, not a very exciting weekend, but it warms my heart to see that clean bill of health. And to remove that job from the list of things I need to do.

How was your weekend?

A real mixer for me. Bouts of exhaustion from the “normal” Fibromyalgia life, coupled with naps to keep it at bay. Forgiving family that has no interests in staying in touch. Finding pleasure in writing and sewing. In spite of the Fibro… I continue. Thanks for asking, Jean.

I went to see a matinee show on Saturday and as usual it was followed by a visit to a favourite snack bar. Sunday was the usual weekend crossword puzzle challenges accompanied by running commentary on the election results and a family lunch to celebrate the birthday of Manjiree’s sister. All in all a busy and eventful weekend.

a restful happy weekend just staying in. window open enjoying what passes for autumn here! LOL. no color yet. but no need for a/c either. thank goodness.
am just a cheerful monk two ! 🙂
my internet is furnished with my rent. haven’t had any problem as yet. i guess i’d contact the apt manager instead of the service company direct in such cases.
there is a free security system with the cox network… so am protected (i hope).
i’m glad yours was resolved so quickly!

Our internet is via the phone company, and it’s usually very reliable. My potential problems were with my computer sites, not my computer. Presumably Captain Fritter takes care of that for you. Bless him!

I got hacked a year or so ago and decided to subscribe to a company that checks everything for me. It’s well worth it.

I never heard of cheerfulmonk.com. It must have been before I was computer semi-savvy.

My weekend? Ho hum. Same ole, same ole. I must like it that way or I’d change it.

I hope you enjoyed yourself. I puttered around doing things around the apartment today, and it was pleasant.

I love to putter around the house. Lydia says I’m a do-detail person. True. I tell Tom what I do to get my “Brownie (younger than Girl Scouts) Points”.

Can’t remember what I did Saturday but on Sunday trip to the next suburb up near thy hills, Titirangi. In particular the building named Lopdell House to a meeting for my local (nearest) Arts Council.

It was cold when I left home, extra layers – threatening rain – so included brolly…

We had the meeting on the slightly cold and very wet tiles of the roof – nice if it had been nicer…then we went to the basement Theatre Lounge where we couldn’t see any outdoors

So when we had finished our refreshments I walked up to the main entrance and FOUND that the sun was blazing down…

Took an amble down Titirangi Rd, because bus not due for 15mins and then arrived back in style in New Lynn, very hot indeed

Rest of the w/end now I recall making an proposal application for a scholarship – more on that later – may know at the end of this week on results…

I am disappointed that the BJP did not get a clear majority but its performance has been very creditable. It will form a government in the next few days one way or the other. What has been most gratifying for me is the schadenfreude of seeing the INC eat dust.
