Patience

When we had the house built in 2012, we requested a brown screen/storm door. The contractor couldn’t get one right away, so he installed a “temporary” white glass one.

This weekend, almost two years later, he installed the one we specified.

It pays to be patient.

It looks as if it was worth the wait!

Better late than never! I’m surprised he hadn’t forgotten all about the brown door in the meantime.

Darn. I like the white door best. I know it doesn’t go with the house. The best I can say it matches the light near-by. But I love WHITE. (My computer/sewing/tea- making room is all white cabinets,)

If I LOVE white so much, why aren’t I pure? I’m anything but…

On 2nd thought, you’ve got to get rid of that white door. Give it to me. 😀

Having a personality color white means you are neat and immaculate in your appearance, in the presentation of your home and in your car, almost to the point of being fanatical.
You have impeccable standards of cleanliness and hygiene and you expect others to adhere to your high standards.
You are far-sighted, with a positive and optimistic nature.
You are well-balanced, sensible, discreet and wise.

You are cautious, practical and careful with money.
You think carefully before acting – you are definitely not prone to impulsive behavior. —NOT ME!
You tend to have a great deal of self control. —NO WAY
You are confident, poised and self-assured when at your most positive, but can also be very choosy and fastidious when the mood strikes.
You can be very critical of yourself and others (in your need for perfection) – but you try to be fair and impartial as well.
You are self-sufficient and a loner – you don’t want or need help from anyone. However, you may also experience times of loneliness because of this trait.
You may be wishing to create simplicity in your life – perhaps a wish to re-create your childhood, lost youth and happier times in your past life.
You hide your flaws from others to give an impression of perfection.
You may appear to be shy, but you do have strong beliefs about most things and love the opportunity to air those beliefs.

I like white around me but my favorite color is RED.

I missed this one. “You are well-balanced, sensible, discreet and wise.” I’m not these.

The contractor took the white door back. We’re happy with the new one.

We have a white car, but it has nothing to do with our personalities, just that they don’t get so warm in summer and we didn’t like any other color beer.

I think a Pure person is religious, which I’m not.

good safe looking door…although a clear glass one would let in my light, maybe even some sun.

I live in a home where the landlord had to replace some outer doors – have a front door of regular size that is clear glass is not great – you can’t avoid the door knocker person, by say looking through a peephole & deciding not to open it…

downstairs at the back a very narrow especially made glass door which looks on another even narrower width door – this house built by Jack of Many Trades, master of none!!!

    fascinating discourse on white bhb!
    and monk…
you would fit right in as a neighbor to the rickety old farmhouse.
we both know that’s how angus’s workers deliver the goods! LOL.

  6. I have to grin at this, at least he remembered! I probably would have just bought another door myself — But patience has never really been one of my forte’s! –And I love the door, it was worth waiting for!
