Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving for you here in the states. Do the rest of you have an equivalent holiday? How do you celebrate holidays, achievements, special events?

Andy and I are going to have a regular day here. He’ll go up to the land and I’ll continue cleaning out closets. It took me quite a while to get myself psyched up to do it, but it’s gratifying. We did buy a roasted chicken at the store tonight to note the occasion. Mostly I don’t celebrate with food — saying “Yay!” and bouncing around is more fun for me. As far as being grateful — I spend a lot of time thanking my lucky stars, so that’s not a problem.

What am I thankful for? Too numerous to count, but I will mention being grateful that I don’t live in those areas of Buffalo, NY that recently received 76 inches of snow in 24 hours. It’s been cool and sunny here, and we love it.

Have a great day, everyone!

We do not have celebrate this festival here, though the Indian business class has been trying to introduce this and the black Friday phenomenon here too just as it has successfully done with Valentine’s Day, and other special days.

In my personal life, my daily prayers include a fairly long Vedic Sanskrit shloka that offers thanks to Creation for just about everything and also seeks its protection from harm for just about everything.

I wish you both a happy Thanksgiving.
