Another Productive Day

It was a cold, overcast and snowy yesterday, but we had a great time. We went to the local Hunter Douglas dealer to decide what style of blinds we wanted for each of our windows, and to ask for an estimate of how much the whole thing would cost. The woman gave us samples of the colors we might like, and we went up to see how they might look in the house.

We’ve picked Toasted Almond and will return the samples this morning when we take Kaitlin and Torben back to the Albuquerque airport.

As usual, Kaitlin and Torben were invaluable, because they had already done a lot of research for their own house. Bless you, Kaitlin and Torben!

We also took a walk in spite of the cold — about 14 °F for the high of the day. I’ll say more about that tomorrow.

Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone!

Kaitlin just phoned to say they not only got home safely, they had a good tailwind and arrived 45 minutes early. How neat is that? She didn’t mention their luggage, so presumably that got there too. 🙂

Happy New Year to you, too!

No, I went to sleep in the old year and got up in the new. I have been doing that since the year 2000.

I’m behind with reading…anything so I’m trying to catch up. Usually I did that Sundays but since I am not longer required to be anywhere much at all (over Summer) the actual day-names have disappeared to somewhere else. Anyway I believe it’s Friday – yes I know the date, the computer says that but actually “name of day” – n/a 🙂
