Thinking

It’s not only humans who know how to think. Typhoon, the youngest member of The Thundering Herd, likes to do things his way. A few weeks ago Hu-dad told the Sibes to “Kennel Up”, which means to get into their crates on the porch so they can be fed. Five of them did, but Typhoon just looked at Hu-dad.

The Thundering Herd. Used with permission.

The Thundering Herd. Used with permission.

When Hu-dad tried to guide him into his crate, Typhoon ran around him and went straight into his crate in the bedroom. Hu-dad had to admit, he hadn’t specified which crate to go into, so he brought the food to Typhoon there.

As Hu-dad says, there’s nothing like having six Siberian Huskies to keep you on your toes.

One Chutki a native hound is handful enough for the three of us to handle. If however you were to ask her, she is likely to say, give me a few more to handle and I will set them right and get them to eat at the dining table.

  2. Mr. Typhoon, the Little Prince that he is, sure does like to keep us on our toes around here.

    Beautiful dog, and smart, too.

Dogs astound me with their smarts so often! Trainers like to say that dogs don’t “generalize” well. But it sounds like Typhoon has generalized the word “kennel”!

Smart and I’m going to remind them humans that I am!
