Slithering

More slithering today. Again Andy was going only 3-4 miles per hour.

If he had gone faster he wouldn’t have rolled down a hillside, but he could have gone into the ditch on the right. And the truck is still in no condition to pull the Jeep out.

Once everything warms up and dries out, he’ll work on the truck some more. Mud on top of ice just doesn’t give him the traction he will need, so in the fullness of time ….

    What is the motivation?

That truck really looks stuck. I am glad he does not need to plow. As yucky as the roads sound, I love spring up there! The lighting of the sun is just beautiful, and the crisp air and skies so nice. Here it is grey today. It was sunny yesterday, but not quite yet spring sun. I did think I saw one tree that looked like it might be thinking about starting to swell (you can sense my confidence). It will come here eventually!

I’m curious to see how much luck he has with the truck when things dry out and he can tackle it again. Fortunately he can always ask for help if need be, so it’s not a serous problem. We both laughed out loud at this post — the picture of the truck is just priceless. Bless him for taking it.

Good luck on your spring coming!

You gotta have PURPOSE. My purpose now is mostly about me. Tom comes in a close second. I made a sign to remind me. ‘You have PURPOSE.’ I won’t bore you again with my purpose. Oh well. My new walk & posture. I’m YAYing myself all over the place.

That’s not true. It’s all about me. Tom isn’t a close 2nd. He’s so physically & mentally fit it’s a crying shame that he’s my role model & I’ll NEVER catch up.

I looked at the title and all I could think of was “snakes” a’slithering – then I read the actual post and noticed it was more about sliding in the mud – not via a snake! At all!!!

I have slithered in the wintertime on steep roads (sealed as well) on bad frosty mornings…I can tell you not a pleasant experience at all. But that when I had a car to drive…

    • Jean says:

Yes, it’s scary because you don’t have much control. Although maybe not as scary as snakes are for some people?

Oh man. That kind of mud is such a danger. I’m glad that Andy can slither around in his jeep! I’ve met your kind of mud when I was in the desert in Utah, and it is downright scary!

    • Jean says:

This is the worst he’s seen it because it’s the third thaw this year and some of the ruts are still frozen, which tends to toss the Jeep around. The Jeep is good because it’s so short, not so good because it’s light and easily tossed.

i hope he has enough food to last up there!
in a way … he’s stranded in paradise.
but knowing andy … through you! … i’m sure he’s in control of all inevitabilities!
wow. that’s a tongue twister word! LOL.
    xo?

    • Jean says:

The trouble is if he gets stranded up there there’s no way he can phone to tell me. I would phone Greg and we would (assuming our plan works) go up to see what happened.

I saw the title and I was a bit scared to look.
What a relief that it’s not about snakes.
I can’t even stand to look at photos of them.
They completely terrify me…although I think that road looks terrifying too!
    Omg.
