More Insanity

Andy Borowitz says Congress’s approval rating is so low it can’t be detected by current technology.

After a challenging week for the legislative body, the approval rating of the United States Congress has shrunk to a point where it is no longer detectable by the technology currently available, a leading pollster said on Friday.
….
[The pollster] said that the swift descent of Congress’s approval rating below detectable levels has surprised experts in the polling profession. “A couple of years ago, when they shut down the government, I wondered, What could they possibly do to become less popular than this?” the pollster said. “Now we know.”

Then there was the reaction of some Twitter users to this Time Magazine cover featuring Hillary Clinton.

clinton

The objection? The way her head was placed relative to the M in Time made it look as if she had horns. Time explained the same thing has happened to other cover stars, including Pop Francis, Prince Charles, and Darth Vader. Apparently most people think the horn idea is ridiculous, but it does point out how crazy some interpretations can get.

I think it was inadvertent. Here’s the cover for Pope Francis. His “horns” are even bigger.

I agree with you about Andy Borowitz, he really scored on this one.

I’d be proud if the approval rating for this congress fell into the negative numbers… (if that’s possible)! The stunt by those 47 senators was unbelievable.
