Good for Him!

The only way to do all the things you’d like to do is to read.
—Tom Clancy

Goodreads says,

Tom Clancy (born April 12, 1947) dreamed of joining the military in his youth, but his poor eyesight prevented him. Undeterred, he channeled his passion into his books. After finding success with best-sellers like The Hunt for Red October, he bought himself a tank.

Yay, Tom Clancy! The moral is follow your bliss, but be flexible.

i’ve always loved that quote… ‘follow your bliss.’
it was inscribed over the fire place in katherine hepburn’s childhood home.
she said she took it to heart and lived her life by it! i’d say she did.
    and apparently tom clancy too!

I have read all Clancy’s books and can vouch for the fact that he lived life kingsize and truly followed his bliss. Even the cause of his death is still a mystery to his fans.

This post is right on target as to how I’m feeling right now.
    🙂
Although I might add, if not read then write!
    LOL!
I also love the Follow your Bliss quote but it does take courage and the road is bumpy.
    😉

Unfortunately the road can be bumpy even if you don’t follow your bliss. It’s best to spend at least part of your time doing what you love.

Tom loved Tom Clancy. Read all of his books–10 0r s0?? Too bad he’s gone. He read all of Jules Verne’s books. Now reading Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Who wrote that? Huckleberry Finn? 😀 I only get as far as magazines, it that.
