Last Week

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.
—Ashleigh Brilliant

Last week was like that here. There was a long list of matters that needed to be dealt with. None of them were that bad in itself, but they just kept coming.

These whimsical illustrations pretty much capture the experience. Please make more of them, Cindi! I love them. ♥♥♥

And sometimes the previous days, which you thought were done and dusted, come back to attack you as well!

We fully expect some of the issues will come back again, but at least they are off our plate right now. We’ll take what relief we can get!

a book on how to survive shingles with your sense of humor intact…
and after all that… getting bombarded by matters to be dealt with….
and … with cindi’s art work to make it all better!!! 😀

As I recall, Cindi already has a book she wants to finish. (Please correct me if I’m wrong.) I’m looking forward to that, too.

My week on the other hand went by placidly, but this week starting from Sunday promises to be hectic! Sunday was a reunion at Mumbai and meeting up with my family in Navi Mumbai, Monday was a surprise phone call and a long looked forward to meeting with a remarkable young man in the evening, coffee and sandwiches at a favourite restaurant with a gread friend and today was the wedding of Yokob’s son Sandeep followed by a great lunch with Ranjan and Manjiree. Tomorrow is a lunch with some alumni followed by a visit to another dear friend and so it goes on and on. I look forward to the next one which as at today, promises to be quiet.

Well I got behind, on the week that was already busy-as when I got a head cold that was embellished with sneezing +++.

Kept away from an important meeting which has turned to having more spanners in the toolbox – still trying to work through all that mischief provided by one dear old man… Also kept away from my textile art-making…i.e. fine fibers/dusty stuff, even paper can be dusty.

That meant the next week, I was to be out at least 2 days which meant less time in work-room…

On to last week when all art created either finished or not had to be packed to couriered to my mentor on Friday. Silly time frame as it has turned out because a special annual celebration in NZ and if it falls on any weekend day – Mondayised! Hence art was still in transit yesterday and has only just arrived at destination…now mentor who seems to be running an even tighter schedule is behind – so I must get behind as well…

I just thought I was caught up as such and could spend some time with logistics for various art projects – looked my schedule and found “need to get skates on and get a lot of stuff constructed off site (away from home)” – got there today…and was expecting to repeat exercise next week, to discover not possible! Have no idea how I’m going to schedule more days…

Yep, I don’t know whether “I’m coming or going” for sure… other than my foot is telling me that I should never have told my friend it was getting better!!!!

    • Jean says:

Good luck! I know I couldn’t handle all of that.

I am curious about the mischief caused by that one dear old man, though.

    • Cathy in NZ says:

not a bad kind of mischief – just someone who felt that the club wasn’t handling surplus funds in quite the way he felt they should… that has meant the committee of which I’m the leader of has to rethink how it spends the surplus as it’s supposed to benefit all members!

my next problem has just surfaced to do with our mid-winter dinner…fortunately have a few months up sleeve to try and resolve that – where? seems to be the problem…

I’m so glad I only have to serve one term of office…with a bunch of much older people who really have some strange agenda in regards to things…it’s supposed to be a friendship kind of club! There seems to be a big % who assume “somebody else will do it” 😉
