I’m afraid I agree with the fellow who wrote the above joke — in order to believe in cosmic/divine/whatever justice you need to believe in some sort of afterlife, be it heaven and hell or reincarnation or some other form. I don’t. And clearly karma in one lifetime misses a lot of people, both ones that deserve a better break and ones who deserve to be punished. Just my view of things.
Strangely enough, I had lunch with a friend yesterday who strongly recommended a book two copies of which I ordered just this morning!
