Smart Pup!

A fellow in Scotland was surprised after he got on his train to go to work. His four-year-old pup, Paddy, happily came up and sat down next to him. Apparently the fellow had a trampoline in his back yard and the pup bounced on it to help him get over the six-foot fence. The pup then followed the fellow’s scent through the streets and on to the train.

Smart pup! The fellow let Paddy come to work with him that day, but presumably he later moved the trampoline.

Very clever indeed. A few days ago, I was having coffee with some friends at a nearby cafe when much to my surprise, Chutki landed up delighted to see me. She had been on a walk with Manjiree and instead of going home as she normally would, catching my scent near the front gate, she just dashed off to me. Dogs are fantastic!

Yes, dogs are fantastic. And hurray for being a grandparent — you get the fun without the work. 🙂

i wish he could go to work with his friend every single day. the world would be a better place if that was possible for people. and dogs!

When I first built my back fence, I really thought it was high enough and it probably wasn’t a good idea to build it with a flat 3 1/2″ wide top.
One day I had the dogs on the patio and I was out front weeding when Jimmy comes walking up all nonchalant and lays down next to me. I picked him up and carried him back and set him over the top and double checked the gate.
Then I walked halfway around the house where I could watch him jump up and down until he got some height to his jump and landed on the top of the fence and then jumped off to greet me again.
The neighbors like my flower boxes and bird houses that I attached to the top of the fence…I didn’t bother explaining why! LOL!
