Misbehaving

At least that fellow doesn’t have Thoreau’s regrets:

… if I repent of anything, it is very likely to be my good behavior. What demon possessed me that I behaved so well?

Have you ever had fun misbehaving?

Have I ever had? I not only had, but I continue to have fun misbehaving. How can anyone have fun behaving himself?

  2. Ursula says:

I don’t misbehave on purpose. Can’t see the point.

Which doesn’t mean that I don’t put a foot wrong in the eyes of others.

I definitely need to have more fun misbehaving than I do. I’m more of a “quiet satisfaction in getting things done” kind of person.

By the way, referring back to a recent post of yours on the relative benefits of promoting what you love versus bashing what you hate, I just read that Thurman and Salzberg have written a new book, Love Your Enemies: How to Break the Anger Habit & Be a Whole Lot Happier.

    • Jean says:

I hadn’t heard of the book, but it makes sense to me. I have read that anger can become a destructive habit. I also believe happiness can be a habit. That’s the one I aim for.

I was always that very good kid and followed every rule.
Yep, they could always count on me to do the right thing.
I guess I was a late bloomer, because I kinda snapped at 23 and started misbehaving, majorly… for about 10 years.
I gotta say, I better much enjoyed most of it!
    Lol!
