A Selfie Drone

When I first heard of this selfie drone I thought, “Good Lord!” But, in fact, I think it might be a good idea for some people.

The video lifted my spirits and made me laugh.

They are just beginning to be a nuisance to air traffic in some places and there are moves afoot to ban their unauthorised use. Quite who will be the authority is being debated. In the meanwhile we may just see a few accidents. Here is a rather old piece of news but there are more recent ones including in India.

    amazing!!!
i have to admit… i’m so tired of the ‘selfie’ culture of literally everybody hamming it up taking constant pictures of THEMSELVES… even in their bathrooms… and their fascination and delight with their own images…
like some kind of uber narcissistic society we’ve spawned. i just don’t get it!
but this selfie drone is technologically amazing!

I think they did a great job with the video, too. They tried to appeal to us old folks too, not just to youngsters doing amazing sports.

it doesn’t rock my boat, but I guess it’s just a sign of the times…I haven’t even caught up with a smart phone yet!

i was talking to some people today at sports ground, they were organising their holiday on their s/phone…and I mentioned I had a flip top. Yep, they had them once too but now they didn’t think you could get them!!!

    they are probably right…
