Helping the Economy

This email appeared in my mailbox yesterday morning:

How to heal the American economy in one easy step.

We just talked to the Federal Reserve Bank and they told us that, yes, the economy would be in permanent happy mode if everyone in the entire country just ordered something this week from American Science & Surplus. Really. You could call them and ask.

And it doesn’t even have to be everyone—just all the adults and the children with their parents’ credit card numbers. Luckily, we happen to have something for everyone. So don’t do it for us—do it for your country.

Their ads make me laugh, but they’re not worried about protecting the environment. No minimalism here.

Are you helping your country?

You bet I am helping my country, by not standing for election to any office!

I already did my service. 😉 And running for office was never a consideration.

  3. Cindi says:

    Yep, I’m helping
by spending money that I don’t have.
    🙁

I don’t think my pennyworth will be saving our economy – especially since I’m again eating up stuff from pantry shelving and doing without some of my favourite things that I haven’t replaced “yet”…
