  1. I’m not complaining, but sometimes, since I started my blog, I do feel I have a job! Slept in, anyway, this morning…

    sigh.
I do have today off though!
and I’m Googling RV trailers this morning and reading about living that way
so that when I can retire, I can see some things.
    maybe.

I wish you didn’t have to work so much! The mother of a friend in grammar school was the image of an ideal mom, active in the PTA, lead a Campfire Girl’s group, etc. But when the kids grew up and her husband died she sold her home and bought an RV and had rendezvous with like-minded people all over the country. She used her daughter’s as a mailing address. It doesn’t appeal to me, but I thought that was cool, and such a switch.

Retirement is much more fun than I expected. I’ve dreamed up lots more that “needs” to be done than I can do, so I love the privilege of saying: today I just won’t do it. Good cartoon!
Also looking forward to hearing more about the Christmas lights.

technically I’m not at retirement age, but I had to retire due to ill health years ago and evevn thjough at one point I could get a job, I had reached a magic number that employers don’t want a person to start a job! So I then gave in and became a semi-bum – mostly do what I want, but at time with fixed deadlines, il.e.. essays and now artmaking

    LOL.
    i love that.
    i guess i’m a semi bum too.
and i’ve never been happier. well. i was pretty darned happy as a wife.
but this is a whole different life. and it’s good too.
TIME has always been the most important commodity in my life. and i’m very rich now with it. i have all the time i need. and i’m loving it!
