Fear and Hate

Sorry to be such a downer, but this cartoon was too good not to share. The worst part about Trump’s anti-muslim rhetoric is he has risen in the polls — in one poll he has about 40%, his nearest competitor about 10%. His supporters may not vote in the primaries, but he is still stirring up a lot of fear and hate.

Unfortunately many people prefer fear and hate to actually examining what they’re so disturbed by and finding out the facts as opposed to the lies and venom served up by the media.

Quite how the Trump phenomenon will play out is anybody’s guess and an outcome that a lot of people all over the world are waiting to see. Irrespective of the merits of the arguments that he puts forward, one thing is for sure, he cannot be ignored or made fun of anymore.

People kept predicting he would crash and burn, but he’s still going strong. The big donors are upset that they have so little power at the moment. He doesn’t need them and he’s spending a lot less than Jeb Bush, who so far has remained in the single digits.

Trump has proven one thing that I have long suspected.
-People are not as nice as they appear to be. Most are good at putting on a good face to mask the nastiness underneath.
And, apparently Trump can say whatever he wants and people will cheer.
The politicians on both sides have created this monster, in my opinion.
People are sick of their lies. They would rather have someone shouting out their personal truth, however harmful it could be, rather than put up with two-faced politics any longer.

Yes, people are sick of politicians paying attention to their big donors and ignoring the majority of voters. It’s too bad Trump is so xenophobic.

    He is. It’s awful.
