The Quran Experiment

These Germans had a great idea. They disguised the Bible as the Quran and read some passages to people. So much for Islam being inherently more aggressive than Christianity. And so much for modern believers necessarily agreeing with everything in their sacred texts.

totally!!! the old testament is especially full of really harsh ways.
it was written by people in the same lands as they’re in now… and by men who felt the same about women. the mosaic laws were harsh. eye for an eye… etc.
even paul in the new testament wasn’t fond of women. they were not allowed to speak in church. and he advised men to never marry! LOL.
there goes the human race! that is if they had obeyed his ideas. 🙂
this was a fascinating insight and reminder to us to be careful in judgements. thanks monk.

It really didn’t surprise me at all.
What continually surprises me is the fact that people need a book of rules and ancient writings to be told how to act and feel.
Personally, I think if everyone just practiced kindness, compassion and empathy, the World would be ok.
