According to the Washington Post, the real reason Donald Trump skipped last night’s debate was he thought the first six debates were more than enough, and he had won them all. He may very well be right that not attending won’t hurt him in the polls — we’ll just have to see how many of his supporters participate in the Iowa caucus. He certainly has succeeded in making the race interesting. Even I started paying attention.

He cerrtainly seems to have come off the better of the lot by not participating.

i think he’s a past master at playing the game.
    any game.
not sure how that bodes for us if he wins.
kind of like watching a cobra in a clown suit! 🙂

  3. This is too true to be funny. Scares me!

    I hate politics.
I try not to voice my opinion but…
it is definitely a different “ballgame” this time around.
Trump was actually HERE last night, Well, across the river in the town I’m in right now. Where I work.
    Davenport, Ia.
A couple of the girls here at work went to see him. They LOVE him.
They both are country girls. Born and raised in the country.
I don’t know why, but I find it odd that they love him so much.
I’d say he’s better than Cruz.
ANYONE is better than Cruz. I think he’s pure evil.
    Personally… I want Bernie.
and I’m a city girl and all my friends are Republican but I like him.
    A lot.
If he doesn’t get the nomination, I’ll vote for Hillary.
No doubt she can do the job but I don’t trust her, I think she’s a liar.
    and I hate liars.

I agree with you about Hillary, and I don’t think Bernie will get the nomination. Cruz is hated by most people who have had to deal with him, as I understand it. Trump would no doubt make a horrible president, but he’s shaken up the powers-that-be. “None of the above” sounds like a good vote to me.

I cannot imagine that quality (taking your ball and going home) in a president. Cindi pretty much summed up my thinking on this whole thing…

    • Jean says:

I agree that Trump would be a disaster as a president, but he sure is doing a great job poking the big money people in the eye. A statesman he is not.
