We’re pretty spoiled here, too. It snowed last night, about 3-4″ here, but apparently more in other parts of town. A lot of activities were canceled, and the national lab and the schools closed after a couple of hours this morning. Apparently accidents on the slick roads also closed some main roads for a while.

Andy didn’t go up to the land, but he did drive up on the main highway to see how much snow the dirt roads had — between 8″ and a foot. They hadn’t been plowed, but there were some tire tracks, so he’ll go up at the regular time tomorrow, put chains on, and see if he can drive all the way up to the house. We will let you know!

    oh YES. chains for sure.
and that is a dog after my own heart.
sadly… i haven’t an ounce of andy in my soul.
i’d be the one sitting it out comfy and cozy by the fire.
i admire the andy’s of this world!

      You and Montana both!

    • Jean says:

I used to go for a walk every day, even in winter, but now my jogging trampoline and my NordicTrack treadmill plus Netflix suit me just fine. 🙂

Thank goodness Montana has her heating vents to lie over!

Here the exact opposite is happening. The much delayed spring seems to have arrived and we don’t have to wear warm clothes anymore. I even used the fan to sleep under.

  3. Carry on, as they say. Spring is just around the corner!

    • Jean says:

Actually I mostly like winter around here. Summers are relatively mild, but I still prefer cooler weather. I sleep better and have more energy. Still, Spring and Fall are great. 🙂

LOLOL! how did you know kaitlin! i have been known to also just LEAP for no good reason other than joy when taking a walk! 🙂
    i’m in good company. xo

there has been no let up – much- with the heat wave here! Occasionally a morning to noon will be nice OR somewhere in mid-evening…most of the nights are hard to get off to sleep with. Lots of people have got rotating fans but I just go with the flow – and take short naps if necessary during the day…

sometimes there is a nice breeze in the house, then I go out and close up the place…come back to hot-house 🙂

every now and then weather forecast says “rain coming…” not sure if the scheduled lot will arrive on Friday…

however, I’m not sure I want to have a “dog-kind-of-happening”

    • Jean says:

I hate heat waves! I have a number of fans plus an air conditioner in our living/dining room that helps during the day. Good luck.

  6. Cindi says:

    I’m mostly content.
But then again, I feel a little bit restless and want to go out and accomplish something… until “something” actually arises and then I say, nevermind.
