Interesting Developments

Apparently Marco Rubio did well in last night’s Republican debate — he may have turned it into a two-man race — but it’s not clear if he can stop Trump’s momentum at this late date. Especially since Governor Chris Christie heartily endorsed Trump this morning.

When asked what position he would like in a Trump administration, Christie said none.

He plans to finish his term as governor into 2018, he said, β€œand then go into private life and make money like Trump.”
New York Times

I laugh every time I think of that. The whole thing is just too funny not to.

    ditto kim.
has america become that shallow and money grubbing?
    apparently yes.
I call it the kardashian effect.
the entire foolish country in the mainstream wants to BE A BILLIONAIRE!
    disgusting really.

“has america become that shallow and money grubbing?” Unfortunately it’s not new. Daniel Boone complained about the speculators grabbing possession of the lands he had explored.

is this a new historical stance in your politics – or does a seemingly outsider cause a ruckus each time…

thinking about that I am sure there was much ruckus last time, and back repeats for many elections πŸ™‚

of course, I may be wrong…

    in my opinion,
    the politicians created this.
they have ignored the people for so long,
they made promises they never kept
and lied to the public and only cared about the political game.
They’ve been pulling all the strings to their advantage.
Now the frustration and anger of the everyday people feel has them ready to vote for anyone who isn’t a paid and bought politician.
If Bernie isn’t the Democratic nominee… I’m not sure who I will vote for.

Peggy Noonan had a great column, Trump and the Rise of the Unprotected, about this. She agrees with you — the politicians and people with power have created a world where they are protected from the roughness of life and are only concerned about themselves, not about the people who aren’t protected. A lot of those people are now saying enough is enough. The next couple of weeks should be interesting.

Chris Christie hopes to be selected to by Trump’s running mate and wait his time to become President. It is a pity that people who like Trump do not feature in cartoons! In case you wonder, I am neutral.
