Velleity

vel·le·i·ty
noun: velleity; plural noun: velleities

a wish or inclination not strong enough to lead to action.
“the notion intrigued me, but remained a velleity”

Origin
early 17th century: from medieval Latin velleitas, from Latin velle ‘to wish.’

I came across this word today and decided to spend some time looking at my own velleities and seeing if I wanted to take a bit of action on any of them. Well, yes, as a matter of fact. There have been a number of things on my Possibility List for a long time, and I’m in the mood to do something different for a change. It feels good.

Are you ever in the mood for something different? Do you have any velleities you would like to play with?

    I have a list too,
and I’m definitely in the mood for something different.
One thing that has been a velleity for me for a very very long time, just because I listened to other people and not to my own heart, is to learn to ride.
I just needed to be around horses to wake that sleeping desire up.
    yep. I’m doing it.

is that something I could apply to my latest adventure…it certainly took me far off my To Do list, even though it hadn’t made it there yet!

still stunned at what I did in the very short turn around framework…

at least if I get accepted into phase 2 – a/ I will have started the process, the bits I can do easily and b/ have a longer turn around…

[btw I haven’t actually gone to sleep on any future idea, thought of something just as entertaining as this one… can’t keep those creative waves quiet too long around here…]
