This salesman doesn’t know anything about dog lovers. A few years ago Honda did, with it’s dog-friendly Element:

Front and center in the Honda display here is an Element that’s outfitted with Dog Friendly components, many of which should be available as accessories for the vehicle this fall. Fido will find himself very comfortable in the back of this Element where a cushioned pet bed is placed on an elevated platform. There are also pet restraint systems fitted to the second row and rear cargo area. An extendable ramp can be used to aid your pooch’s ingress, while a 12V DC fan in the rear keeps him cool. A spill resistant water bowl, rubber floor mats covered in a toy bone pattern and second row seat covers with a dog-themed pattern round out Honda’s cadre of canine friendly accessories.

I’m not sure how many of the features Sammy and Banshee’s car had, but Kaitlin and Torben bought the Element just for them. And they loved it.

Unlike the salesman in the cartoon, some people have their priorities straight.

another LOL πŸ™‚ these cartoon ares are priceless…

  2. Kaitlin says:

I love it! Great cartoon. We had close to zilch in terms of accessories – perfect to clean after dog slobber or other incidents! We literally open all the doors and take a leaf blower to clean it. Then wipe all surfaces. Mostly dog nose prints off the back windows… We love it!

That cartoon expresses everything about dog lovers.

  5. If you are going to travel with your friend (uh, dog) you need all of the accoutrementsβ€”glad that some car salesmen know this!

  6. Cindi says:

I know all about the Element!
That’s exactly what I wanted to buy but didn’t have the funds at the time.
So instead I got the van and immediately removed all the seats except the front passenger (and drivers of course)
and then my sister gave me her old futon mattress and I spread that out in the back and covered it with a big comforter and threw some dog toys in there and we (Blue, Nora and Jimmy) were all set to go!
