May Snow

It snowed again yesterday:

5-01-16-Snow-3

5-01-16-Snow-2

The internet didn’t work for Andy, for obvious reasons:

5-01-16-Snow-1

It reminded me of 1965. We were living in France for the year, and it had rained most of April. So when Andy looked out the window on May 1 and saw it was still raining he said, “Well, we tried April in Paris. Now let’s try May.”

  1. Snow in May. Seems outrageous and unfair to me! Good thing you guys are so resilient, and gifted with a sense of perspective. I’m hoping better weather is on the way for you!

that’s the mountains for you! well. or just the higher altitudes.
    but I love andy’s attitude.
like the year my dad died while we lived in northern minnesota.
a few days before he died we had walked across the kettle river on the ICE.
    it was in april.
we came here to oklahoma for his funeral and then had to go back there to finish 6 more weeks of school.
here everything was in full beautiful bloom and with green everywhere.
we went back to snow and ice. like going back into a time warp!

    Snow?!
    I’d be crying.
But I like your positive take on it!

Autumn came and now I’m not sure – but leaves a’falling ain’t a’happening at all – my large tree (yep I’ve still got that one – near the boundary) usually has covered the back lawn in gorgeous leaves!

Weather is mild, although these last 2 early mornings there has been “fog” which means 2 oceans meeting and colliding…and it was a little colder this morning on the lino.

Not always high sun but definitely not cloudy…

Our autumns have been very late too in the past couple of years. As one of our favorite weathermen said years ago, “One thing about the weather, it sure is unpredictable.” 🙂
