Trip to the Land

We went up the land for a picnic supper yesterday afternoon/early evening, and we went the way we used to go before we had our new road built about ten years ago. It was exciting to drive up our refurbished old driveway after all this time!

We stopped on the way up to see the trees in the “orchard”, and after dinner we walked down to see the other fruit trees by the greenhouse. Many of them are in blossom now:

There was a slight adventure on the way up — it’s been breezy up there so Andy had been clearing a lot of trees off the roads and paths we use. The roads were clear when he drove down, but when we drove up a couple of hours later, another tree had fallen. Andy got out his little electric saw and cleared it off in about five minutes. He’s had a lot of practice! (I didn’t start taking pictures until after he started sawing.)

I know Andy willed that tree to fall, he knew you would take pictures so we all could see, his prowess etc 🙂

I grew up in the days of feminism.
I always liked to know that I could take care of myself.
I would do as much as I could physically do, and yet….
I must admit that I find it highly attractive when a man takes care of things.
You got a good one Jean!
