Kaitlin phoned last night to say they made it home safely. They had also sent pictures of Montana and Sammmy on the trip home.
Montana knows how to make herself comfortable:
And Sammy, as usual, was good-natured about it.
When they got to their exit both of the pups got excited:
As usual, it’s great to get home after a long trip.

I agree. When I traveled a lot, that was always the best part—coming home! I almost never go away now, and when I do, it is always accompanied by an anxiety to plan things so I get home as quickly as possible!
We only travel every other year now — to see Kaitlin, Torben and the pups. We take the train so it’s fairly easy.
Dog or human, nothing like coming back home.
Agreed!
part of me wants to stay wherever I am – but when I get home – it’s the comforts of home, that make me realise a lot of things!
Not this w/end but the next one – I’m off to a Retreat – apparently those who have been to many – say the beds are very comfy and there is ongoing heating in said rooms! Time will tell…
That’s great that they have ongoing heating. That makes a big difference! I hope you enjoy it.
Montana and Sammy do look comfy! LOL!
And yes, I love returning home although I seldom leave.
And, I shouldn’t admit this but….
My home always appears messier than I left it and then I have to get busy cleaning!
I think I get used to my little “piles” and it startles me to see them with a fresh eye.
Anyway, I’ve gotten off topic again!
Glad they made it home safe.
I always worry when I have loved ones on the road.
Xoxoxo
There’s nothing wrong with little piles — some people work better that way. It depends on what works best for you.
