I dream quite often and the dreams are usually weird and have little to do with what’s going on in my life. But yesterday morning I had a crazy one about Andy and me going to see an eye doctor. The content had nothing to do with my current concerns, but I woke up tense and am pretty sure the dream was related to my appointment in Santa Fe on July 15.

Do you ever remember dreaming? If so, do the dreams seem to be connected with what’s going on in your life?

I never can understand mine…when I wake up and find I’m not where I thought I was (hope you get my drift). But sometimes I just seem to wake up lately from a noise outdoors – like people in the ROW – usually Asian talking loudly and some other kinds of noises like vehicles with reversing noises…

this after nearly a year of quietness – but now with it a building site, never know what kind of noise!

the driveway adjacent to this bedroom has suffered, and vehicles seem to create a “dip” – the next vehicle has difficulty so revving of engines…

    Every single night I dream.
Sometimes I feel more tired than the night before because of
    them.
    They are definitely in color.
    Usually some worry I have.
Something awful, like my house burning down and losing my critters.
Sometimes I dream of my first love who has passed on.
I used to dream about my Dad and he’d be telling me things… But maybe those weren’t actually dreams?

Sorry you are having worrying dreams but I totally understand why you would be.
    XOXOXOXOXO

Thank you! The dream itself wasn’t so worrisome. No worse than some that have nothing to do with what’s going on in my life. But I don’t have full-blown nightmares anymore. I used to have them a lot when I was younger.

I dream but can never remember what I dreamt.

    • Jean says:

When I first wake up I vaguely remember what I dreamt, but then those memories are gone. I don’t care enough to write them down.

I seldom remember my dreams, but when I do they’re totally weird and have no relation whatever to my daily life. They’re usually anxious dreams about getting lost on the way somewhere, or being chased by someone, or something going horribly wrong. It would be a nice change to have some happy, reassuring dreams.

    • Ursula says:

Nick, try dreaming about the referendum (no bull) or, as I did two nights in a row, about you yourself dying. After that you’ll be dead happy about anything that comes your way. Even if – as you know – in my case I never have enough cases and/or time to pack all my stuff.

I sometimes dream I’m late for some appointment or another and things keep getting in my way. I don’t get very anxious, but it’s still a relief to wake up!

  5. Ursula says:

My dear Jean, that dream of yours is the one of anticipation and an understandable smidgen of anxiety. I’ll hold your hand. And that’s before you hold mine.

Short answer to your question: Yes, I do dream. Vividly. And do take dreams as poignant pointers (if often in disguise) to what is REALLY going on in my waking life. I’d be in the wilderness without my dreams. They are my guides.

    U

Yes. And sometimes. I have not had any memorable dreams just lately which feels weird to me because there’s a lot of drama in my waking life right now.
