Sammy was limping so Kaitlin and Torben took him to the vet again. This time it’s a foot infection, and hopefully easily treatable. Sammy, of course, is taking it good naturedly and continues to warm our hearts with his smiles.

I thought… “oh no! please! not bad news.”
Sammy stands as a hero to all of us in how to handle the things that life throws at us!
he just gets through whatever it is and he keeps smiling.

It’s heartbreaking when a dog is sick. The care and attention of Sammy’s owners is inspiring!
It’s especially sad when they walk over and hold up their paw and look at their humans, asking for help.

I’m sorry about the scare! He’s having a lot of trouble with “hot spots” on his skin, so Kaitlin and Torben are trying to be alert for problems and treat them right away. He is well loved and cared for.
