I sympathize with Koko and his human, but down here in the Southwest we love rain. I still remember taking a visitor up to the land for a picnic years ago. It rained. Not so nice for him, but Andy, Kaitlin and I were thrilled. What more could you want for a perfect evening?

How do you feel about rain?

I hate rain. I hate having to splash through puddles and keep myself dry. I’ve been literally soaked to the skin a few times by torrential outbursts. Luckily we’re not in a flood-prone area but there are parts of Belfast and Northern Ireland that are regularly flooded and where any sign of heavy rain is ominous.

I love the monsoon season. I have written blogs about it.

A rainy day is when I spend a few hours on the trail. The rain jacket is carried along tied around my neck for emergencies in case I need to stay a bit warmer. My new waterproof trail-runners are annoying since they won’t let the water out, but they are good for the mud.

Except for the shoes it sounds as if you have the right clothing. Which helps a lot. I’m afraid my hiking days are over, but I’m glad I had them when I was younger.

  4. This part of the world is part rain forest, part desert. It rains (a lot!) from November to February, and sometimes throughout the spring. If the rains don’t come in the volume we need, we worry about the huge trees and massive plants which inhabit our coast. So, yes, I like rain!

you already know how I feel about rain! I dearly love it.
it’s one of my favorite things in the whole world.
we’re in a severe drought again.
so even seeing it in a cartoon lifts my heart!!!

    Sometimes it’s nice.
    Especially in the Summer.
But I hate to be working when it rains because nobody wants to go outside and they poop in their kennels.
Or the ones that do go out, get muddy and track it in and that’s more cleaning.
And, if it rains too much it comes in my basement underneath the cellar door and then it seems damp and musty down there.
Not to mention that the cat boxes are located there….
And then there’s my hair. I try to make it nice and smooth and stylish and rain makes it frizzy curly.
Okay, hmmm. I guess I don’t care for rain.

rain’s fine by me, but on t-day it blinded me to common sense. so i tried to descend some slippery, slimy rocks as part of a family beach walk in a wild national park area and ended up with a broken humerus. now i get to practice one-handed life skills for a few weeks. luckily it was the left arm.

okay I’ll try again..,”it depends what type of rain?”

if it’s a foggy sort of day – that’s very light but wetting rain

if it’s a let’s see how we can cause a repeat (a bit like knitting pattern) sun for an hour, rain for 30mins, & repeat all day long…

nasty squally rain in the winter time, add some hail for good measure and make the temperature drop.

hot and humid day/summer time…around 4pm very heavy dark clouds, “oh goody it’s going to rain/cool” – yep it rains maybe heavy 15mins…seems a bit cooler “great” then an hour later humid-as +++ until maybe finally get off to sleep around 10pm!

of course if we are experience drought conditions with watering restrictions then any rain is great for the earth…

and if it’s really a nasty type rain, good to be indoors, keeping warm & watching it fall outdoors
