Actually he hasn’t been groomed since the disaster with Montana. He used to love “Dave the Dog Guy”, but when Sammy saw him after Montana got killed (by a train after running away when she and Sammy were being groomed) Sammy just growled at him. The whole thing was heartbreaking.

WoW that’s astonishing – poor Dave the groom Guy…but amazing that Sammy somehow felt it was Dave’s fault!
Dave was devasted too because Montana escaped when she was being groomed and had her collar and tags off. He blamed himself.
