Surveillance

What else would we expect from a surveillance state?

He sees you when you’re sleeping
He knows when you’re awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake

I have no choice in the matter CM! I just have to be good. There is no alternative!

I like to mix up my life – saves me getting bored!

Last night, I couldn’t sleep (it was humid as well) because I annoyed with family shenigans! I decided to look for an escape but I could find a “holiday” that would fit my pocket book, last minute…

So I still one option…that will depend on what unravels in the next few days but really this annual celebration isn’t really needed as such…

I do feel like my every move is being followed.
I’ll Google something or check out a website and suddenly I’m flooded with emails about whatever the product was. Or I find that the ads on some people’s blogs are suddenly tailored to whatever I had been searching for.
Sometime I find it helpful but mostly I just feel like I’m being spied on!

And as far as Santa watching? I remember telling my parents as a small child that I knew Santa had been watching me. When they asked how I knew, I told them that I had seen tracks in the snow going up to my window!
I remember my mom freaking out and my dad running outside to check the snow. It was all very scary.
So yeah, ya better watch out was true!
    Yikes, what a memory!
    LOL!
    xoxoxo

I would freak out if my daughter told me that!

It used to bother me that ads chased me around, but now I’m used to that. I wasn’t very happy when https://haveibeenpwned.com told me I was on a spam list sold to marketers. The data included

Dates of birth, Email addresses, Genders, IP addresses, Names, Physical addresses

I’m not sure where they got the data. LinkedIn, Adobe, and Dropbox were hacked, but that was mostly email addresses, passwords, and user names, so I changed my passwords on those sites.

      Whatever.

  4. Yep, Google knows everything about us, judging what turns up in our inbox and on our FB page. But we don’t have to bite…we still have free choice (I think!)
