A Good, and Interesting, Day

It was cold and blustery up on the land today. Kaitlin, Torben, and the pups are staying up there and Andy and I are driving up in the morning and coming home after dinner.

It was windy, but no trees across the road. It had snowed a few inches so Andy and Kaitlin spent an hour or so plowing.

Our internet was intermittent so Kaitlin and Torben checked our dish. It was partially covered with frozen snow, so we’ll wait until the sun comes out again.

Then when Kaitlin was cooking dinner our electricity went out. They started our backup generator to restore power and to partially recharge the photovoltaic batteries. A protective circuit had tripped, so Andy will try to figure out why tomorrow.

All in all we had an interesting and wonderful Christmas Day. Hope you had a good time too.

Yes, it was cold outside. I stepped out to take the pictures, then went right back inside! Interestingly enough, Tempi doesn’t seem to mind the cold, in spite of her short hair. She loves to sniff so comes in with her nose frosted with snow.

My Christmas day was like any other day except that Yakob had brought food and sweets made for Christmas to be shared with us and I over ate!

But even with the problems that occurred,
