Snowy Roads

Andy took these pictures Sunday:

Notice how narrow the road is getting because when Andy and others plow there is less and less place to put the snow. We’re happy about the much needed precipitation, but we wondered what would happen if we got much more. Andy would have to walk in partway? We would have to hire someone with bigger equipment? So we’ve been watching the weather reports.

Then yesterday morning he sent me this email:

Actually made it with chains! Will start plowing now — real storm up here last night.

Needless to say, he spent a couple of hours plowing again.

Notice the road is getting even more narrow.

It looks as though he may just get snowed in!

wow. a lot of moisture! at least he’s getting a little help from the county this year. (or is it making things worse?!!)
all from that storm that was supposed to bring us some much need rain.
it blew right over us and did damage in the southern states.
the tornadoes that did so much damage were about 10 miles from mike and reve and the boys in Georgia. then it went on to Mississippi and Florida!
and we’re still dry as a bone with high wind and wildfire chances warnings.
weather is such an amazing thing!

looks also if not just snowed “in” but snowed “out” – at home with you…maybe it is time for trip to somewhere doing summer…

In the old days we would snowshoe in. He would do that for the last couple of miles now if he gets snowed out just before the spring melting. If he gets snowed out way before then we will call Orlando, our roadwork guy, and see what he can do.

  4. Can I just say that I’m a little jealous? 🙂

I’ll just say- I’m not jealous at all!
    Lol!

That enough of the white stuff for me!
