A Better Color?

April 13, 2017

With binoculars we used to be able to see the post from our porch, but it’s very difficult now due to all the dead white branches sticking up. I suggested to Andy that we might try painting it yellow, because yellow is supposed to be one of the most visible colors. So he’s going to buy a can of spray paint and see if if that’s really true.

A simple but fun experiment.

I hope he doesn’t have any trouble buying the spray paint – here it is locked up and you have to prove you’ve a/over 18 and more importantly b/not going to do some graffiti around town! or c/start sniffing it…

I look forward to the new picture, but please tell Andy to be careful getting to said pole, with all those dead, broken and probably relatively sharp sticks…

He shouldn’t have any problems. He’s a good customer at the local hardware store, and it’s been a long time since anyone has asked either of us if we’re over 18. 🙂

Yes, he is careful, with the sticks and with his power saw when he cuts up trees to move them off the roads.

it might not have crossed your mind but I have a lot of trouble proving I’m a gold card holder (okay i’ve had the privilege exactly one year) but I apparently do not look 65!

Not that I’m trying to look like I’m over 18 and wanting to buy some spray paint – but when I last did, I had to tell the guy what I was going to paint – graffiti and sniffing – being high on his list!

I told him quite truthfully at that time “I’m going to spray a whole lot of handbags gold for a golden anniversary event…” he didn’t even blink – opened the cabinet and got me 2 cans of golden paint!!!

That’s funny about the gold card. Thanks. 🙂

It should indeed be much better.

I miss fire engines being red since they started painting them yellow. When I hear sirens I don’t look for yellow! More visible, huh.

I’ve read yellow (they say lime yellow, I’m not sure I know what that is) would be the best color for fire engines. Around here they are still red. I think it’s cool that yours are so up-to-date. 🙂
