The Ideal Life?

Marmaduke

Does that sound like the ideal life for you? If not, what would be missing? What would your ideal life be like?

Thanks to rummuser, Ursula, bikehikebabe, Evan, Cathy and Jody for commenting on last week’s post.

Exactly! Eat, drink, play and sleep, but with a wife alongside.

  2. Mike says:

Works for me… with (quite) a bit of travel thrown in. 😉

  3. bikehikebabe says:

I’d also need my to-do (possibility list). I need jobs to do that I mark off when done. Ahhhhhhhh

  4. Evan says:

Good for me. As long as enough stuff is included in ‘play’.

  5. Jean says:

    rummuser,
Yes, I need someone to share it with too.

    Mike,
Travel counts as play if that’s what you enjoy doing.

    BHB,
I don’t have To Do lists, I have Possibility lists. Most of the items are for play and I have a lot more than I have time for. But if you enjoy working, go for it!

    Evan,
    You get to decide. 🙂

Women tell me that they have a cleaning person. “That’s what I do for myself.” [they say]

What I do for myself is clean— so that I bend, stoop, reach, lift, shove, twist, move…

  7. Jean says:

    BHB,
No wonder you’re in such good shape. 🙂

  8. bikehikebabe says:

Ahhhhh gee, You say the nicest things.

  9. Cathy in NZ says:

all the dogs’ life plus challenges…

although this last week, one of things I was thinking about when prone on my bed (sick) was that i think all challenges that involve travelling be put on hold or never done again…this occured when a refreshment/pit stop didn’t seem to be on the agenda of the bus company – only pickup/drop off occurred!

on the way home, same company bus stopped 20mins – apparently they are supposed to do that…don’t know why not on way down!!!

  10. Jean says:

    Cathy,
I agree, I don’t like to travel anymore either. I love my everyday life.

  11. bikehikebabe says:

Me too. I don’t like living out of a suitcase. Things get lost & stolen. After 2weeks of a 3 or 4 week trip I REALLY want to be home. If we’re on the other side of the world, it doesn’t pay to only do 2 weeks, with time travel, jet lags, cost.

I like visiting the kids better. [Kids is not a universal word. Probably sounds as strange as lads does to me.]

    I love my everyday life.

    BHB,
We drive out to see Kaitlin, Torben and the grandanimals every other year. For a while we were going to Montana in alternate years, but 2010 was a red-letter year for me because we didn’t have to go anywhere. What luxury!
