Ideal Age

If you could be any age, what would it be?

When I asked Andy, he said 30. I love my life just as it is right now, so I wouldn’t go back. What would you choose?

well . . . just physically speaking . . . i would turn back the clock to when i was 35 years old . . . 105 pounds . . . in a little bikini . . . not worrying about the sun . . . feeling absolutely fabulously HEALTHY and playing with the incoming waves on the beach in the bahamas.
mentally and emotionally i would not trade the age i am today for ANYTHING!
i’m loving life itself right now.

Why settle for 35 physically. How about 18?

18? not sure. i somehow came into my own at 35.
I lost my dad at 17 and my husband at barely 34. you’d think either time would have been terrible and not one to choose. and of course in its way it was.
but at 35 on that beach . . . i think i realized i was going to actually live. in spite of everything. and that i could maybe even feel good again about being alive. though lots of time would be needed to believe it for sure. it was a turning point of some kind for me.
a different life. but life. and also . . . my body didn’t hurt all over! LOLOL.
that’s always a plus right there! LOL.
this has not been the greatest year for this old body. 😀 looking forward to new years more than ever! LOL. maybe i’ll change my answer to monk and make it next year! the age i am next year. 😀

18 is too young As I recall our brains aren’t mature by then. And I was in better shape when I was 35 than I was when I was 18.

I would plunk for when I was 52. I had retired and we had six months of glorious time before corporate life sucked me back into madness. I wish that I could undo that part of my life.

    • Jean says:

I was lucky. I was 53 when I retired for the last time. I’m much happier when I can pick my own projects and set my own schedule.

Could you be more specific about the madness of corporate life?

My age now is fine. Age wise, the only thing I would like different would be the physique, appearance, and life expectancy (years left) that I had 20 years ago.

Give me an 18 year body & the smarts I have now.

    • bikehikebabe says:

I take that back. I like the muscle that I added later, tho’ at 18 muscle just sat there with no effort.

As an age 35ish. Pretty much the same vitality as a young person with the ability to integrate experience and reflection. I like my life now more than my life at 35 though.

part of me wants to return to certain time periods whilst other times, it I had or could, would life be different…
