A Perfect Response

I wrote to Kaitlin Monday with the heading Itch, Itch, Itch!

Not bad during the day, but the bedclothes rub at night. Too funny. 😀

She answered:

Yuck yuck yuck!!

Good luck!

A perfect response. I’m still chuckling, and it helps a lot.

Don’t wear bedclothes. I don’t because when I turn over they don’t, which makes bedclothes knots. This would make bedclothes itch for you.

i have to ditto bhb on bedclothes!
that’s probably way too much information here!
but until you’ve tried it… you’ll never know such wonderful freedom.
it’s positively heaven. fresh clean sheets never felt so good!
    and…
    i loved kaitlin’s response! LOL.
i thought the itch with shingles comes along WITH them. they used to not let us scratch chickenpox when we had it because they said it would leave a scar!
wonder how long the itching phase lasts? i hope it’s over quickly for you. xoxo?
HEY!!!! the heart appears! not a question mark!!!! YAY MONK!

    • tammy j says:

      oh.
      well.
      it appeared on my end.
still a question mark on yours. LOLOL!
well. no question about it. i love you dear friend!

      bed·clothes
      plural noun: bedclothes;
coverings for a bed, such as sheets and blankets.

It’s the top sheet that was doing the rubbing. I think it’s funny, especially because it’s gradually getting better.

    • Jean says:

      I did those hearts two ways: “& h e a r t s ;” and “& # 9 8 2 9 ;” No spaces, but if I don’t put them in the code gets converted.

One of Andy’s favorite songs (even thought the voice is obviously female) used to be,

I wear my pink pajamas in the summer when it’s hot.
I wear my flannel nightie in the winter when it’s not.
But sometimes in the summer and sometimes in the fall,
I climb between the covers with nothing on at all.

      Here’s slightly different version:

      😀

Did you really mean clothes that you put on a bed? 😀 I think of clothes as what you wear & bedclothes as what you wear in bed.

  3. KB says:

Your friend is so clever, waaaay more clever than I am. I hope that itching abates very very soon.

    • Jean says:

I agree, I’m not that clever either! The itching is gradually getting better, so I’m guessing it will be gone soon. As long as Friday’s eye exam is okay I’m happy. I’m now down to one eye drop a day for the inflammation. The rest of it is just a matter of patience.

besides Kaitlin’s perfect response – there seems to be a few others that hit the nail on the head – happy sleeping 🙂
