Snow!

snow-forecast

We had about a foot of snow up in the mountains last night, and Andy was slipping and sliding so much he ended up walking the last mile in. He plowed until 3, then had lunch and started home, having to dig out the gate and walk the mile back to the Jeep before he could start driving home. He arrived about the regular time and seemed chipper enough.

We had about four inches down here, so I had to brush off the car before I could go to my 10:30 exercise class (Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings). I got to the Y in plenty of time, only to find the class had been canceled because of the snow. I now know to check first after it’s been snowing. I didn’t mind not knowing ahead of time, I warmed up using one of the treadmills, then did my usual routines on the weight machines. I was glad to have it done by lunchtime.

Anyway, that’s the excitement around here. We are having a white Christmas!

  1. Congratulations! We can only look with envy…not coming to the pacific north west anytime soon. So have a wonderful “winter wonderland” Christmas!

There has been significant drop in the minimum temperature here too since three days and as I write this, I am sitting with a full sleeve sweater on! No snow though.

Why would my mountain man want to stay home? He figured he would plow a bit more today, after building a fire in the stove. He probably was able to drive the whole way, instead of taking an hour to walk that mile up in the snow yesterday. 🙂

      Merry Christmas to you, too!

Sounds as though you and Andy don’t really mind the snow!
I wouldn’t mind just a sprinkle of it, to make it look like Christmas but…
    I certainly don’t want a foot! LOL!
Yes, indeed there was a tornado here but thankfully no lives were lost and that’s all the matters.
The weather is starting to get colder, which makes me a little bit happier because it freezes up the MUD.
    I hate Mud! LOL!
I hope you are having a good Christmas!
Your friendship and so many others have made mine!
    xoxo

the weather controller here has been either fiddling with his gauges or he has imported some from a wonky factory – Wednesday was gorgeous, Thursday was wintry/wet/cold, Friday was reasonable not too hot, Saturday well the controller has put his gadgets away and it’s hot and sunny…light breeze but not really cold….
