Another Mud Season

The roads had just about dried out before the snowstorm last Tuesday, but now that the snow is melting again we’re having another mud season.

On the plus side, the pussy willow is starting to come out. Clearly winter is over, even if we get a bit more snow.

in northern minnesota… the ground froze so deep…
that in ‘mud season’ it was literally dangerous to walk some places in the woods. you could sink down 6 feet very quickly. mud. almost like a quick sand situation. more than just irritating… mud could be dangerous!
    andy’s jeep looks RAD!
like those commercials on tv where those guys play in the outdoors in their 4 wheelers!

Yes, Andy took some great pictures. 🙂 I can imagine how dangerous the mud season would be in Minnesota!

when do we get a selfie with whatever…

Surely, mud season is better for driving a four wheel drive than snow season?

    • Jean says:

Actually we use four-wheel drive a lot more than winter than in the brief mud season. All of our cars are four-wheel or all-wheel drive, even the ones we drive only down here where the roads are paved.

  5. Thank goodness for four wheel drive vehicles! Otherwise you could be in mud up to your chassis. We used to love this season up north. It meant that spring was, well, “just around the corner”!
