Slightly Less Than Perfect

Andy took pictures of the trees that fell across our old driveway since last fall. There are less than a gazillion, but still plenty of them.

We were surprised by this one area on the sides of the driveway. Apparently the wind knocked down a wide swatch of trees:

And here’s a tree that fell on the Orchard fence:

These pictures show the erosion towards the bottom of the driveway:

Yes, the poor old driveway is “slightly less than perfect.” I’m curious to see what it will look like after Andy and Orlando work on it.

    goodness gracious.
makes you realize how devastating the fire really was
    and how ongoing the problem.
those poor trees have nothing to do but keep falling.
I love before and after pictures.
we will be amazed at andy’s and orlando’s progress i’m sure!

That’s right. The trees are starting to rot now, so they should be falling at a higher rate.

I’m looking forward to the after pictures of the driveway, but it will be a while. At the moment the Forest Service has locked the gates to the two roads letting people in —they usually lock them in early January and open them in late March or sometime in April. Right now people without keys have to be escorted in and out.
