For some reason I have never liked the word “hobby”.

Semantics aside, I do enjoy most aspects of my life; they are so interwoven I would find it difficult to single out any one activity as a “hobby”.

Reading, Solving Crossword puzzles and Movies.

Reading is probably my biggest “hobby”. Currently reading The Season of Second Chances by Diane Meier. About a middle-aged academic who makes a new start in life. Witty and perceptive.

  4. I would say that gardening is my hobby. I also like reading and movies, but those seem to be ‘pastimes’ not hobbies. I write constantly, but that is definitely NOT a hobbyβ€”more like work!

I don’t think I have a hobby in the ‘hobby’ sense of the word…
like one that requires certain tools to use for it.
I have been a voracious reader my whole life. so if reading is a hobby…
and now that I’m involved with following blogs and have one myself…
I suppose that maybe blogging is a hobby? I don’t know!
I just know that I find it all very enjoyable.
perhaps my favorite is simply studying human nature.

Reading is my primary hobby. It’s also my hidey hole–where I go when I don’t want to cope.

Writing would be a hobby if it weren’t a mandate. I can’t NOT write. I don’t have to publish but I do have to write.

I guess playing computer games is my real hobby. The one I do just for fun with no other reason. Except, sometimes, to help me procrastinate. πŸ™‚

I have waaaay too many hobbies, so many that I run out of time every day. I love mountain biking, dog training, photography, and writing. I also love reading but I find only about 30 min per day to do it. My husband jokes that I love life a bit too much πŸ™‚

I have “stuff I do” – not all the time for some of them – but much of it could be classed as a hobby.

Once upon a time, I made fruit cakes especially for Xmas – I kept making them to a point where they were a specialised hobby of mine…then that dropped away. Then I got into muffins and I would make 12 of kind at least weekly…they were quickly consumed by flatmates.

To me they were just a hobby – trying to get better, buying better tools and so forth.

Now I just “make” things from time to time…OR I think about making something BUT either haven’t the time, OR haven’t got back into IT πŸ™‚

    Hmmm
not sure if I have a “hobby”.
I mean I have a lots of “plates” spinning
but I don’t know if they are hobbies.
Yep, they probably aren’t since my waist circumference
    hasn’t gone down. :p
