I don’t care what I see in the mirror. I’m hardly a perfect physical specimen of humanity but that’s not important to me. As long as I’m fit enough to enjoy my simple pleasures, I’m content.

Wishing you a happy and inspiring 2017!

I can relate, as well, but the mirror is just as honest as the scale. 2016 wasn’t good for me from the weight perspective. Already weighing quite a bit more than I should, somehow I added another 20 lbs after going many, many years at a stable weight. πŸ™

Mine is a permanent battle with my bulge too. But I don’t let that stop me from having a ball anyway!

Happy new year to you too Monk.

  4. Looks like the gym will be full to bursting with newly motivated weight-busters! Never fearβ€”it’s always this way after the holidays! But I like Nick’s outlook…stay healthy and the rest will follow!

Yes, the local Y does get crowded for a couple of weeks. Last Friday my Silver Sneakers class was full for the first time in months.

Yep, totally how I feel but
    I’m gonna change that!

I rarely look in mirrors. I’m trying to stop shaming myself for being me.

Happy New Year to you and yours too! I love the video of poor R singing. Poor fellow, he’s had his share of bad luck. He’s so precious.

  9. Cathy in NZ says:

same as the weighing scale – I actually don’t have it in sight at this new, place because I don’t have any real spare space in my new bathroom…

    anyway Belated Happy New Year
