Beate, Tim and Andy planted a new redwood Saturday. Notice the beautiful fence Beate and Tim made. 🙂
As usual, fingers crossed.

such great friends!
these are wonderful pictures them. even if it is only half of Tim! lol
Yes, they are great friends. 🙂
Let us hope that these survive to old age!
One of the four already has!
You and I have too, of course!
Was about to post some Giant Sequoia pictures. Aren’t they a bit better suited to the snow than a Coastal Redwood? Will be anxious for pictures of this babe as it grows.
Thank you for commenting. Apparently we shouldn’t be calling ours redwoods, we should be calling them sequoias. How funny.
The coastal redwoods like moist, humid and cool, the sequoias like dry summer heat. New Mexico is not noted for its humidity.
I was at the Calaveras Big Trees State Park the day you posted this. They have two giant Sequoia groves, so I have some glorious visions of what your tree will eventually look like. About 2,000 years later!
We will keep you informed! And you’re right, coastal redwoods don’t like freezing temperatures.
