It’s Not Just We Humans

It’s not just we humans who jump to conclusions. Over at Life at Golden Pines, Kim accidentally stepped on Todd’s foot. Sweet Kingston was unfortunate to be there too, so Todd attacked him, assuming it was Kingston’s fault.

Have you ever been unjustly blamed, or have unjustly blamed someone else?

Yes. Once. It hurt. I got over it eventually. It spoilt a very good relationship.

  2. Good observation! I assumed that jumping to conclusions was typical of humans, never the wiser species!

my first ‘real’ job in an office.
there was a clique of older women. they talked about everybody behind their backs. I was the most naΓ―ve little thing ever. it was really my first time working in the real world I suppose. I doubt most 18 year olds would be that way now. but this was in the 60’s.
one of the women literally lied to the supervisor about something she had done. and she blamed it on me. looking straight at me she told a barefaced lie and then smiled the coldest most chilling smile.
I had been taught to respect my elders. it was my first occurrence with such an outright lie about me (and by an adult!) that I couldn’t believe it.
the beginning of an education in the outside world I guess! πŸ˜€

I once saw a t-shirt that said, “I didn’t say it was your fault; I said I’m going to blame you.”

  5. Cathy in NZ says:

people “assume” all the time, that I can’t possibly be as “old” as I say – we have talked about this before!
